Recently, an event that took place in the
White House to celebrate the victory of the Texas Rangers in the Series World,
Joe Biden seemed bewildered and looked around for somebody to remind him what
he was supposed to do.
Free from all official engagements throughout
the week, the 81-year-old president appeared rather indecisive on Wednesday
during the ceremony in the White House’s East Room. The team also gave Biden a
personalized jersey and cowboy boots; Biden looked at them and said, “All
right, what am I doing now?”
The moment become rather more embarrassing
when an assistant brought a military jersey to Biden which prompted a joking
reaction from the later, asking if he was going to steal his jersey, very
strange gestures considering that Biden has addressed many events at the venue
in question, he gestured in confusion raising both hands, don’t know what to do
next. An emcee was later introduced and asked people to remain seated as the
president was led out of the stage. Biden then did a mock dancing, running,
spent a short time with two children and waved before saluting the Dallas-Fort
Worth team.
This event has again sparked concerns with Joe
Biden’s cognition and the abilities to perform his presidential tasks until
January 2025 among the critics. Speculations on his physical fitness to hold
the presidential office have developed possibly due to his decision on July 21
which stated he will not run for the presidency a new that came with increased
discontent within his party.
On 29 July House Speaker Mike Johnson
underlined that if Biden is incapable of running for re-election, he is also
incapable of serving as president and demanded his resignation today. Likewise,
Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez questioned Biden, which was followed by the
assertion that the American people require confidence in their president to do
the job.
Biden’s light public schedule
this week, with no official events on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, further
fueled speculation about his health. His only public appearance on Thursday was
followed by a private visit to his former campaign headquarters in Wilmington,
Delaware, later that evening.
